Many of the features in Windows 10 will not function correctly on older platforms due to driver limitations. This includes, but is not limited to, wireless and graphics drivers for specific platforms for each supported operating system. Intel WiDi technology requires a set of compatible hardware, drivers, and software to work properly. These adapters may have worked under earlier Windows versions but will not work under Windows 10: Some older Intel Wireless adapters are not supported under Windows 10. Most receivers (including those built into TV's and displays) need updated firmware that specifically includes support for Windows 10 Note Check the firmware on the Wireless Display/Miracast receiver. If you have a compatible system, but are having problems using Intel WiDi or Miracast under Windows 10, check the following: Systems with older wireless adapters can use Miracast. *Windows 10: WiDi 6.0 requires 2013 or newer wireless adapter. *Windows 10: System does not support Intel WiDi or Miracast client. Systems with 2 nd Generation (or older) processors cannot support Intel WiDi under the Windows 10 operating system. Systems with 3 rd Generation processors may be able to access the Intel WiDi features using the built-in Miracast capabilities of the operating system. Intel® WiDi is reliant on the processor, graphics, operating system, and wireless networking components of the system.įor the Windows® 10 operating system, the Intel WiDi application only supports systems with a 4 th Generation (or newer) processor.
